What does Protection Class IP23D mean?

Buildings or rooms are locked in normal conditions. We do it automatically without thinking about it. But why do we do it? We want to protect our property or also other people from dangerous goods and from unauthorised access. We want to be sure, when leaving a room, that it will still be in the same condition when we return to it.

For reliable building protection, it is necessary to take proper safety precautions. One such measure would be a penetration-safe door protected against foreign objects, contact and humidity / water.

In its range, the company MLL-Hamburg offers doors and weather protection grids / ventilation grids of type: 621V-IP23D, 622V-IP23D, 623V-IP23D. These products have been tested according to DIN EN 60529: 1991+ A1: 2000 and offer secure protection against unauthorised intrusion into a room. They offer yet another advantage - fresh air and ventilation. Thus, these systems can be used for rooms requiring continuous air circulation such as: garages, heater utility rooms, transformer housings, medium voltage switchgear, switchgear. Also wherever the protection of electrical equipment with rated voltages up to max. 72.5 kV is to be ensured.

The shape and arrangement of the MLL slats largely prevent ingress of rain and snow, thus it remains dry inside. The MLL systems are penetration-free against wires. For concealed attachment and for protection against unauthorised removal from the outside, this can be equipped with internal fasteners.
